Pepper Steak

Makes 2 servings

Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons crushed peppercorns,
  • 2 boneless sirloin shell steaks, approximately 1 inch thick
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1 tablespoon unsweetened ketchup
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt


Directions

  • Spread peppercorns on your breadboard;
  • Evenly press onto both sides of the steaks;
  • Heat oil in a large skillet over medium heat until very hot;
  • Cook steaks 7 minutes on each side;
  • Remove steaks from the skillet and keep warm.;
  • Add cream, ketchup, and salt to skillet;
  • Bring to a boil, stirring constantly;
  • Lower heat and simmer for 2 more minutes or until thickened;
  • Pour sauce over steaks and serve immediately.
