Makes 4 servings
Ingredients
- 1 1/2 lb steak cut in strips
- 2 medium sized onions, chopped
- 1/2 lb mushrooms, sliced
- 4 oz butter
- 1 dash tarragon
- 1 dash dry mustard
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 1 teaspoon chives
- 1 tablespoon dry sherry
Directions
- Saute mushrooms and onions in butter until soft;
- Remove to casserole;
- Brown meat in the remaining butter;
- Put browned beef in casserole with mushroom and onion mixture;
- Leaving juices in the pan, mix mustard, tarragon, sherry, and 1 tablespoon of the sour cream;
- Pour over the beef, mushroom and onion mixture in the casserole;
- Stir until well blended;
- Simmer over very low heat for approximately 30 minutes;
- Add remaining sour cream and serve over noodles.
